There's even a children's village designed for kids ages three to 12. The village offers half-day, full-day, three- or four-day packages. Located on a private beach near Montego Bay, the hotel boasts 7 restaurants, 6 bars and 2 outdoor pools. And one is for quiet relaxation and the other is for outdoor activities and with a bar. Families with children will love the fact that the resort has a free kids' club for children ages 4 to 12. And when parents and kids need a break from each other, kids can play in the playroom, playground or take part in supervised educational activities, while adults relax by the pool or in the spa.

There are also a variety of lodging options, so you'll be able to find a room to fit your budget. For example, there's Club Liquid, a stylish new place to hang out for teens who want to meet and socialize, and at night it turns into a nightclub for adults.

Another resort in Jamaica that we chose is Jewel Runaway Bay. It became an all-inclusive Caribbean family resort in 2012 after a major renovation of the hotel, which used to be an adults-only destination. There's the Jewel Lagoon water park, which includes a lazy river, family rafting opportunities, a beach lagoon, a restaurant and a giant sundeck. This hotel also makes our list thanks to its kids club (open to all ages), recording studio for teens (who leave with their own CD) and even a laser tag area for the whole family! The resort also offers family programs such as «Mom and Me» spa days, father-daughter dances and golf lessons for parents and kids.

The large grounds of this chic resort feel like a city in itself. Seven restaurants, a huge private beach and two large pools are all on the list of amenities. Rooms feature dark, traditional chain decor, excellent amenities, including a minibar with daily refills, liquor dispensers and private balconies, many with ocean views. Although downtown Ocho Rios can be reached in less than 10 minutes by car, keep in mind that there is little of interest within walking distance.
